A Star in the Making!

Gillian Reese has been a club member for five years. She is a shining star among our club members. Starting out as a shy second grader,  Gillian       has blossomed into a very bright & beautiful middle school student. While attending the Boys and Girls Club daily, Gillian is also active in dance and Science Olympiad. Recently she was featured on the honor roll at Frontier Middle School for having a high GPA. She was recently invited to attend the Boys and Girls Club Youth of the Year event in Seattle, WA which she is ecstatic about. “The club has benefited me in so many ways. It has taught me important social skills…It has taught me responsibility and how much I love kids. When I have time I like to help the younger kids with their homework.” says Gillian when asked what she thinks about the Club. “The biggest benefit for our club members would have to be the clubs programs. Torch Club teaches our club members about community service and leadership…Smart Moves helps kids stay away from drugs, alcohol and peer pressure.”Gillian is a true testimony to the positive impact the Boys and Girls Club has on it’s members. We are so proud of you Gillian!
